Music News Calls Engelbert Humperdinck’s New Album “Powerful and Poignant”

Engelbert Humperdinck’s newest studio album The Man I Want to Be was released Friday, November 24th and has since been met with great critical acclaim. Jeremy Williams-Chalmers from Music News reviewed The Man I Want to Be on release day, remarking on Engelbert’s signature style on his new album:

Celebrated for his easy styling, which leans on a trad pop feel with the occasional borrowing of schlager styling, the crooner is wasting no time in following up his celebratory retrospective collection, 50, from earlier this year with the touching The Man I Want To Be.

Each track on the album was carefully selected to create what Engelbert Humperdinck calls “a love letter” to his wife Patricia. Writer Williams-Chambers recognizes the heartfelt performances behind each song on The Man I Want to Be:

A moving story of love, this is not simply an overwrought outpouring of sentiment, but also has tender moments of self-reflection to accompany it’s touching nostalgia.

Engelbert is the best entertainer in the world. He is very talented and very kind. He was also awarded by the University of Leicester The Honorary Doctor’s Degree in music. He has so many awards and financially contributes to so many charities; yet he is so kind and loves everyone (a combination of true blessed talent). Love to Engelbert.Bennie
