Stream Engelbert Humperdinck’s Interview with “On the Town”
Over the weekend performer Engelbert Humperdinck made an appearance on New York City lifestyle radio show “On the Town” with Michael Riedel. The two immediately hit it off with Riedel giddily admitting Engelbert is not only his favorite singer, but his mother and father’s as well. They go on to joke about karaoke and how Engelbert enjoys performing “After the Lovin'” at small clubs in foreign countries.
The interview covers topics like his relationship with legendary arranger Johnny Harris, the origins of smash-hit “Release Me”, and originally wanting to be a saxophone player. They also discuss Engelbert’s upcoming album The Man I Want To Be, a love-letter to his Alzheimer’s-stricken wife, Patricia.
Engelbert discusses the difficulty of the disease, how it has affected him, and how Patricia stills smiles when he sings.
Interview Starts at 16:30:
