Record Store Day 2017 Exclusive Releases Revealed

Today, March 21, 2017, Record Store Day 2017 revealed its list of exclusive releases. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Record Store Day. This year RSD 2017 takes place on April 22nd. This year’s RSD ambassador is St. Vincent.

This year’s official Record Store Day list includes top titles from late legends David Bowie (a three disc LP and box) and Prince (seven reissues of 12″ maxi-singles from the 80’s). Other Record Store Day exclusives include the self-titled debut from alt-rockers Marcy Playground, All Time Low‘s MTV Unplugged session, Santana‘s live set from Woodstock 1969, Notorious B.I.G.’s Born Again, and releases from The Ramones, Patti Smith, Fleetwood Mac, and many more.

One of the more amusing titles is The Cubs Won It All In 2016 by Ted Wulfers, whch is a 7″ vinyl of the celebratory song that was written, recorded, and released hours after the Chicago Cubs won Game 7 of the 2016 World Series.

In 2016, vinyl sales increased for the 11th consecutive year, having reached an all-time Nielsen Music-era high with a volume of 13 million units, according to Nielsen’s U.S. 2016 year-end report.
