OK! Good Records Recap of 2015

Here’s a recap of some great highlights for our artists this past year:
U.K. artist Janet Devlin and her music made their way to the United States, marking several memorable milestones:
- Janet Devlin’s debut album Running With Scissors was released in the US on February 10th!
- Devlin’s first US performance ever was at The Red Lion in New York City on February 16th.
- Her first east coast run was this past summer, opening for Heffron Drive (Kendall Schmidt of Big Time Rush).
- December Daze, Devlin’s first holiday EP, was released November 27 and features original singles “December Daze” and “Happy Holidays,” the latter of which she recorded all of the instruments played on the song.
- “The Devil’s Trying to Bring Me Down” was released on October 2nd and received rave reviews praising her genre-defying sound.
- “Christmas May Have to Be Postponed” was released on November 27th and just recently made it to the top of the Hypem Twitter Chart!
- Engelbert Humperdinck’s Duets EP was released on May 4th, Humperdinck’s first vinyl release in 25 years, and featured select duets from his album Engelbert Calling (2014) with Gene Simmons,Olivia Newton-John, Dionne Warwick and Willie Nelson.
- Dovetail were the first prize winners of the Imagine Peace Contest and performed at an event on October 6th to break the Guinness World Record for the largest human peace sign.
- On November 13th, Dovetail opened for soul singer Leon Bridges at the Houston House of Blues
- Australian indie pop rock band Fairchild released their EP Sadako on OK! Good Records on February 10th, which brought comparisons to bands such as Two Door Cinema Club and Temper Trap with their intimate yet cinematic sound.
