Janet Devlin’s Exclusive Interview With Digital Journal
Irish singer-songwriter Janet Devlin recently spoke with renowned news outlet, Digital Journal, about her latest single “Lost” with Gareth Emery, as well as her upcoming “My Opium” tour, and who her dream collaboration choices are. In Emery’s latest studio album, 100 Reasons to Live, Devlin is featured on the track “Lost,” which the acclaimed DJ dubbed as his personal favorite song the collection. “Gareth’s sister was managing Wayward Daughter, who is also on the album, and they supported me on my first headlining UK tour. I think she played the song ‘Things We Lost in the Fire’ to Gareth, and he really liked it so he got in touch,” she said.
They also recorded a raw, acoustic version of “Lost,” which may be seen on Emery’s YouTube channel below. “Gareth is super-talented. I’ve never seen him play piano before, and he was absolutely amazing,” she said.

Each day, Devlin is motivated by music and her desire to create new music. “Every day, I try to keep my dream alive and be an artist and a creative person. It keeps me going. I do this because I love it. It’s my dream job and a hobby that I get to do every day,” she said.
As for Janet’s dream collaboration, she listed Ed Sheeran and John Frusciante. She even called Frusciante a “musical genius.”
