Alex Hart’s Interview With The Plymouth Herald

Plymouth singer-songwriter Alex Hart recently spoke with The Plymouth Herald about her upcoming performance for Volkfest 2015. Alex has played Volkfest for the past three or four years now, but this will be the first year that she will be performing on the main stage. “Playing on the main stage will be really nice, being outside in-front of everyone so they can all hear me. My set this year at Volksfest will be prime time for me – it will be perfect,” says Alex.

Alex recently went out on tour with her band, Alik Peters-Deacon, Jake Galvin and Josiah Manning, where they headed out of the city and toured up and down the country. She says: “It was a really good tour – I love touring.”We were gigging about three or four times a week when we were away.We went around the country for three weeks. We had nice places to stay and we met some really cool people who want us to go back. It was great because it allowed us to be able to sort gigs for this year. We have just got to keep on building on our fan base.”

Alex also just finished filming a music video for her next single “Green Light.” She teamed up with band mate Jake Galvin, who also owns his own video production venture – GaIVID, to film a video for their new single Green Light. “The video is filmed on a little beach near Bigbury – we wanted to find a beach that nobody knows about. We didn’t want anyone in the video so needed to find a secluded space,” says Alex.
