Engelbert Humperdinck Takes Time to Talk With News-Journal.com
Engelbert Humperdinck recently did a phone interview with News-Journal.com, in which they talked about tour and his latest album. Engelbert is excited to hit the stage Saturday, January 17th at Margaritaville Resort and Casino in Bossier City, Louisiana. Even after years of performing, being on stage in front of an audience is still the crooner’s favorite.
“No matter what I do, it’s always great for me, but I know live performances are my best, my favorites. It’s great to see an audience that I can hold in my hand for an hour and a half, two hours and take them to another world. And it stays in their minds for a week or longer.”
Engelbert’s North American tour is in support of his latest release Engelbert Calling. He will be playing songs off of Engelbert Calling, as well as numerous classics such as “Quando Quando Quando” and “Release Me.” Engelbert’s performance provides something for fans old and new.
“It’s the kind of show that I take all over the world. They’ve got to hear the songs they know well. It’s got to be well-timed, it’s got to be well-lit. I really get a good reaction from the crowds. It’s been a great journey, and I hope it never ends.”
