Flaming Lips Frontman Brought A Grenade To The Airport
Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne tweeted this last week: “Sorry Sorry Sorry!! Everyone that was inconvenienced because of my grenade at OKC airport!!” and it seems as though that was true! Apparently, Wayne brought an object that was a grenade or something that appeared to be one to the Will Rogers airport in Oklahoma City. This caused TSA to shut down the entire airport, causing many delays and missed flights. This whole ordeal apparently cost some passengers thousands of dollars in rebooking fees. The actual item Wayne brought with him is still unclear, but it’s possible it could just be a future special edition album item.
