Coheed & Cambria Announce New Double Album: The Afterman
New York prog-rockers Coheed & Cambria unveiled information about their upcoming double album The Afterman. Watch the album’s trailer below.
The Afterman is the latest Coheed & Cambria album since 2010’s Year of the Black Rainbow, and features the return of original drummer Josh Eppard. As with all Coheed & Cambria releases, this album’s lyrics detail stories within a fictional saga known as “The Amory Wars.”
The band will release the album’s two parts separately. The Afterman: Ascension is due out October 9, 2012 followed by The Afterman: Descension in February 2013. The band hopes fans will use the time between releases to fully digest Ascension while simultaneously whetting their appetite for Descension.
