Engelbert Humperdinck isn’t slowing down anytime soon, and his touring schedule this year is certainly proving that to be true.

Engelbert Humperdinck recently sat down with the Vancouver Sun to talk about his journey as a musician throughout the years. Humperdinck celebrates his fiftieth anniversary of his music career this year, and will be playing the River Rock Casino in Vancouver, BC on March 10th and 11th.

Engelbert Humperdinck first struck music industry success when he released his first single, “Release Me”, in 1967. It stayed in the number one spot on the Billboard charts for thirteen weeks, with the Beatles “Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields” right behind him. Fifty years later, he is still a beloved performer the world over, and will be taking his 50 year anniversary celebration to the road to celebrate in 2017.

Despite his age, Engelbert Humperdinck says he still feels as youthful as ever:

“I’m going to count myself as a 50 year-old, sing like I’m 50 and act like I am, too. That’s how I feel and I believe if you have that frame of mind it keeps you young.”
