I wanted to get a better understanding of her as an artist, so she took me back to the very beginning — her time with Kelly Rowland on the X-Factor UK. “It was a baptism of fire. Basically the biggest burst of everything all at once, but I was lucky that Kelly pushed me a lot. I was very, very introverted and a bit weird, but she pulled me out of my comfort zone,” Devlin shared. Being on a television music competition at only 16 is certainly a lot to handle, but through it Devlin developed a loyal fan base, released her debut album, Running with Scissors, and is now focusing on a second. “The second record is more conceptual. I call it Holy Water and it’s about confessing your sins.”
