Daylight Tripper Features The Musgraves

Music blog, Daylight Tripper recently did a nice write up about The Musgraves and their upcoming release You That Way I This Way. You can read their review below. Check out the original article here.

The Musgraves are a four-piece band from the UK getting ready to release their debut record, You That Way, I This Way, on April 16. Recently signed to OK! Good Records, The Musgraves’ feel-good music has you dancing in your seat from the get go. Imagine a 50s based band with upbeat tunes that call on contemporary folk, with a slight quirk to the mix.

Their first single off the record, “Last of Me,” speaks about the sour endings of a relationship, but the song is far from pulling down the mood. One would almost expect this song to be about a celebration by the way it gets the blood pumping with excitement. Who knew heartbreak could be so uplifting?

Expect to hear this band’s name in the same sentence with groups like The Lumineers and Mumford & Sons on a regular basis. With their enthusiastic attitudes, The Musgraves lighten up the atmosphere and make a good day even better. If You That Way, I This Way is as every bit exciting as “Last of Me” is these guys (and girl) have a promising debut ahead of them.
