Earlier this month, Grammy award winning indie outfit Bon Iver announced a remix contest for the 2011 album Bon Iver, Bon Iver. Contestants can enter a remix of any of the album’s songs. The band will then select their 10 favorite remixes to represent a new version of the album.
Besides having the honor of a remix featured by Bon Iver, winners also receive $1000 for each song that ends up on the final album. That means over $10,000 is available to someone who remixes the entire album to Bon Iver’s liking.
The remixes will be exclusively featured on Spotify. You can download the album’s stems here.
Some artists have already unveiled their remixes. Check out Republic of Wolves remix of “Holcene” below, as well as Now, Now’s version of “Perth.”
