Of Monsters and Men Release Debut Album
Icelandic 6-piece indie folk/pop group Of Monsters and Men released their debut album, My Head Is An Animal, this week. All it took was one listen to the full album streaming on NPR and I was hooked. I honestly cannot pick standout tracks because they’re all incredible. This is a solid album filled with catchy hooks, epic choruses, and beautiful ballads that will definitely be on repeat for a while on my iPod.
After seeing these guys (and gal) put on an absolutely killer show at Brooklyn Vegan’s SXSW party last month in Austin, I knew they were going to be my new obsession, and it seems like they’re the new obsession of many other concertgoers. Visit the band’s website and you’ll see that they’re booked solid from now until the end of July with sold out shows across the country and over the pond.
