Swiss-Italian singer-songwriter Veronica Fusaro returns with the infectious new single “Gold Rush”, a high-voltage indie pop anthem on the feverish chase for success, validation, and external connection. Produced and mixed by Kim Wennerström, this unveils the final, vivid preview of her highly anticipated second album, ‘Looking For Connection’, scheduled for release on October 24th.

Inspired by the historical California Gold Rush — where thousands pursued golden dreams only to meet harsh realities — the track draws a sharp analogy to today’s culture of instant gratification. The desire to win big, be seen, be loved, and be somebody burns fast and hot — and “Gold Rush” captures that urgency with pulsing beats, hypnotic vocals, and a soaring chorus that leaves listeners breathless.

From the opening line “fast life / I’m living the fast life” to the euphoric repetition of “I’m so high”, the track embodies both the thrill and the unraveling of chasing too hard, too fast. Even the intro — “dai tira il dado dai” (“come on, roll the dice”) — sets the tone: this is a game of chance, and we’re all playing.

“Everybody wants to be rich, successful, have it all — and fast,” says Fusaro. “Gold Rush is about that rush and the cost of wanting more.”

‘Gold Rush’ follows the 2025 release of two standout album tracks – the intense, rhythmic ‘Jealousy’ and ‘No Rain No Tears’ – an uplifting, dream-pop soundscape embedded with romantic flair. Her upcoming album, ‘‘Looking For Connection’ is a powerful exploration of modern disconnection, emotional vulnerability, and the universal desire for authentic experiences, conveyed through raw emotions and infectious melodies. ‘Gold Rush’ stands out as an energetic, danceable track – leaving a bittersweet impression long after the final note.

Veronica will celebrate the release of ‘Looking for Connection’ with a special album release concert at Plaza Klub in Zurich on November 7, 2025, followed by a headline tour across Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands.
